Sensei Rick "Ryuyama" Henderson
Sensei Rick "Ryuyama" Henderson of Binghamton, NY is known for his knowledge of human nature and kindness towards all living things. He is an awesome teacher of Warrior Martial Arts and has a very calm beautiful nature. He brings a great deal of wisdom and peace where ever he goes.
Rick Henderson is a licensed Art Of Combat trainer—4th level (he has full authorization to promote students to the rank of 3rd stripe level), and Rick Henderson has complete authority to train others in
Ralph Severe's Art of Combat System.
Rick Henderson also enjoys the arts of the well known Kamiyama dojo at the Dallas Ninjutsu Academy of Traditional Japanese Warrior Martial Arts. Rick Henderson has been ranked a Yondan—4th level black belt with a Shidoshi-Ho—2nd phase teaching license by Ralph Severe in the Kamiyama Dojo. Rick Henderson has trained with Ralph Severe personally, and at seminars around the United States since 1994. Rick Henderson travels to the State of Texas to train with Kamiyama (Ralph Severe) yearly.
Rick Henderson has trained and been a competitor in Sport Karate under Master Billy Pine's instruction and was awarded his 2nd level Black Belt in the American Shotokon system by Master Sam Roberts.
In Sport Karate competition realm, Rick Henderson holds 6 World Titles in Kata
and in Sparring. In the Sport Karate International (SKI) league, he won the Heavy Weight Sparring World Championship in 1996.
Rick Henderson is also a very gifted musician, a practicing Buddhist, a
loving husband and a great father.
